Matthew Brister

Matthew is currently a director of Storm Resources Ltd. and TransGlobe Energy Corporation. Previously he was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Chinook Energy Inc. As the past President and Chief Executive Officer of four junior oil and gas producers that were profitably grown and sold over the last twenty years, he has gained valuable oil, gas, and heavy oil experience in Western Canada, North Africa and the North Sea. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta.

Kevin Brown, Chairman of the Board

Kevin is the Executive Chairman and a Director of ARC Financial Corp. ("ARC"). He joined ARC when it was founded in 1989, accumulating over 20 years of energy related finance, investment research, corporate strategy and direct investment experience. Previously, he worked for the Canadian Energy Research Institute where he was extensively involved in the economic analysis of global and North American energy markets. Kevin currently serves on the boards of Seven Generations Energy Ltd. and Primavera Resources Corp. and is the former Chair of the United Way Special Gifts Advisory Committee. He is a Professional Engineer and holds an M.A. in Economics and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Rob Cook

Rob is focused on the origination, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities. His responsibilities include deal origination, structuring and execution, portfolio monitoring and exit. Rob currently represents ARC on the boards of Catapult Environmental Inc., KANATA Energy Group Ltd. and Longshore Resources Ltd.

Rob joined ARC in 2000 with a reservoir engineering background and prior experience in global exploration and production operations. He has a Master of Business Administration from the European University, The Hague, Netherlands and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Management Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University. He is a Professional Engineer and a CFA Charterholder.

Kevin Cumming

Kevin is currently an Executive Director, and was previously President and Chief Executive Officer for KANATA Energy Group. Prior to starting up KANATA, Kevin spent 30+ years in the midstream industry and was previously President of ATCO Midstream Ltd. During his career he has held several leadership roles in engineering, project management, business development, operations and management. Kevin began his career in the oil and gas industry upon graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Kevin also has a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from NAIT. He has been an active member of many industry boards and organizations.

Mark Honeybone

Mark is a Partner at Energy Spectrum Capital ("ESC") and joined the firm in 2004. His responsibilities include business development, evaluating potential investments, deal execution and the ongoing monitoring and oversight of portfolio companies. Prior to joining ESC, Mark worked in the restructuring practice of FTI Consulting, Inc. (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers' Business Recovery division), at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin as well as Price Waterhouse. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Trinity University.

Randy Hughes

Randy is currently President and Chief Executive Officer for KANATA Energy Group. Randy has over 30 years of experience in the North American oil and gas service, midstream and commodity trading industries. His previous positions include accountability for Coast Energy's Canadian-based natural gas trading business, ATCO Structure's sales and major projects in Canada, Alaska and the UK, and ATCO Midstream's natural gas liquids and business development activities. Randy has served as a Director for a number of private companies and is a former President and ongoing active participant within the leadership team of his local community association. A member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Randy holds a Bachelor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary.

Aaron Manz

Aaron Manz joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012. He has previously worked at the Boston Consulting Group in Toronto as well as at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Calgary. Aaron is a CFA charterholder and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

Tom Whitener, Jr.

Tom is the President and a Founding Partner of Energy Spectrum Capital ("ESC") and leads the firm's midstream private equity business. He has over 40 years of experience in financing and advising companies as well as managing private equity investments in the energy industry. Prior to ESC, Tom served as a Managing Director at R. Reid Investments Inc. and as a Senior Vice President of Dean Witter Reynolds' Energy Corporate Finance Group. Tom received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with highest honors and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
