Randy Hughes, P. Eng.

President & Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Board of Directors

Randy has over 30 years of experience in the North American oil and gas service, midstream and commodity trading industries. His previous positions include accountability for Coast Energy's Canadian-based natural gas trading business, ATCO Structure's sales and major projects in Canada, Alaska and the UK, and ATCO Midstream's natural gas liquids and business development activities. Randy has served as a Director for a number of private companies and is a former President and ongoing active participant within the leadership team of his local community association. A member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Randy holds a Bachelor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary.

Sandy Murphy, P. Eng., MBA

Director, Commercial

Sandy has 30 years of oil and gas industry experience having worked in the midstream sector and with oil and gas producers. During his career, his primary roles have involved business development, acquisitions and divestitures, negotiation of commercial agreements, asset management, budgeting and planning. Sandy is a member of APEGA and holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Chris Daunhauer, CPA, CA

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Chris brings to KANATA 20+ years of financial experience and manages the company's finance, treasury, information technology, accounting and tax functions. Prior to joining KANATA in 2016 as Controller, Chris was Vice President Finance at Questerre Energy and held senior finance positions with Husky Energy and Synenco Energy. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.

Darren Childs

Director, Operations

Darren has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in both the upstream and midstream sectors and over 15 years of Management experience. Over his career, Darren has been involved in every area of operations, including process optimization, project management, maintenance planning and execution, facility design, construction, and commissioning. As chair of KANATA's Joint Health and Safety Committee, Darren continues his commitment to creating a strong HSE culture and positive work environment. With a solid mechanical background and extensive process knowledge Darren is able to support Operations, Engineering and Business Development on continual asset improvement as well as new development opportunities. Darren continues to improve his knowledge base through industry-related training courses and currently holds a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate from NAIT.
